Holidays 2010

This is the day after Christmas on our way to the big Beck family Christmas party. They are wearing their new knit dresses from Aunt Sue, they got a ton of compliments, she is so talented!

The girls' note to Santa

Cookies and milk for Santa and carrots for the reindeer!

Getting sleepy

Poppy really wanted Tuula's hot chocolate

YUMMMMMMM!!!!!! Melty, chocolatey candy cane!

On Christmas Eve, we took the girls to see Tangled and then went to the Red Bike for dinner with the Beck's. It was a really fun evening followed by Dad's famous hot chocolate, decked out with marshmallows and candy canes, and Elf and finally Christmas stories before bed.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care.

Tuula and Poppy coloring together

This was just too cute, we put a tv in the living room so we could all watch Christmas movies togehter, they were watching Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

Our gigantic Christmas tree! It is the prettiest and pokiest blue spruce. When Andrew got home with it in the back of his truck, I thought he had two trees, he said he picked the biggest and prettiest tree on the lot....he had to cut about 2 1/2 feet off it would fit in the house. It is still about 8 feet tall with a 5 foot span of branches! We all LOVE it!

Making homemade gingerbread houses is a BIG deal! Jamie and I spent half a day baking and making our own templates, 3 days to let the gingerbread harden, one evening of letting the kids decorate, and two days to put it all together. Unfortunately when we were making the template, we weren't thinking about "gluing" them together...notice the steep pitch of our roof! I think we used about 4 times the royal icing! But, alas, we had awesome gingerbread houses!

Poppy want to help too but she mostly just licked candies and threw them on the floor

Tuula decorating a side of our gingerbread house

Harley decorating our gingerbread house

My little sweeties all dressed up for the Christmas parade and uptown tree lighting

I love my babies!

Our playroom Christmas window, complete with snowflakes and paper dolls!

The girls made holla with Daddy-O

  1. Shannon,
These photos of the girls are amazing! It is so wonderful to see them in their home enjoying the holidays with their family! They look like they are having so much fun with the gingerbread house, and so proud with the bread too! Poppy and Tuula coloring together is just too cute...Poppy is holding the crayon perfectly...she is such a gifted child! They all are sweetheart...you and Andrew have been truly blessed! Harley gorgeous as ever, and Little Tuula so sweet and beautiful with her smile! Poppy...what can I say, an Angel!...priceless shots of all of you...Dad loved the bread shot because that bread is almost as big as Tu-Tu! And of course our Favorite is YOU with your three lovely ladies! The Most Beautiful Girls in the WORLD!!!
