We started our Easter festivities out at Ober Park where they had a bunny parade, live music, tons of craft tables, and an Easter egg hunt. The rain and wind stopped just in time and just long enough for us to enjoy all of this. I love Vashon for this kind of stuff, always family friendly and fun for the kids. I was positive that Tuula would be trampled and in the mud crying but she wasn't! She insisted on participating in the hunt for Harley's age group and actually did awesome! Harley, of course, was awesome as well, with no one even paying attention, I saw her give many of her eggs to a friend that hadn't found any, so sweet. We also dyed eggs, tie-dyed in true island style, they were actually pretty cool. Then on Sunday morning, we all went to church with the Beck's and then back to their house for a day of feasting, relaxing and some more egg-hunting. With giant Easter goodie boxes from Aunt Sue and Nana Lee and Grandpa Sam, the girls were quite pleased!

Help!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad the girls enjoyed their Easter Egg Hunt! So neat they do that on the Island (and they recycle the plastic eggs at the end for next year)! I also loved hearing the girls made tie-dyed eggs!!! You my Love, also made tie-dyed eggs with your sweet sisters!!! What a fun tradition! (ok, over the years you made lots of different kinds of eggs, but the tie-dye were one of the coolest kinds!) XOXOXO LOVE YOU ALL!
ReplyDeletep.s. Dad and I showed up while Sandy was helping Pap with the blog comment stuff...needless to say, Dad exited quickly when there were already 3 people in the office, but I feel pretty good that Pappaw is ready to comment away! : )
